The Practice of Soaking Prayer

“Soaking Prayer” is an extended period of prayer with a very focused intention:  A time set aside to be with God.  “Soaking” in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is quality time with others in offering our prayers and petitions to God.  The purpose of this booklet is to encourage, uplift, support and give confidence to individuals and prayer teams to think about, pray about and perhaps offer the gift of soaking prayer.  This may be on a one time basis for a sick individual, or as an ongoing program offered by a church.  It is a method and practice of entering into a deeper and compassionate prayer for the dis-eased.
